Simone Klein, often known as Simo, was born in Providence, RI, and lives in Brooklyn, NY. Simo makes sculptures and performances, primarily as a poet. She is interested in spiritual mechanisms, improvisation, and bodywork.
This machine is made to be an interactive directory of improvisational dance scores. Each question in an invitation into movement research. Questions are linked with intention, but without transparent explanation. The work explores possibilities of translation, personal economic advancement, collective well being, and the upkeep of spiritual materiality.
I created this piece after walking by an advertisement for a starter kit in the Milk Store window on Hope Street (Providence, RI). Coded using Twine. 2024
