DESCRIPTION

I’ve been growing food, and learning from the land at small community farms and communal living projects since I was a young one. This body of work was made at the queer land project, Zumwalt Acres during an artist residency where I was working in the a trailer studio part time and farming part-time.

“The separation between nature and society, between human and thing, is a modern fiction. Tools and technologies are never just material: they are hybrids, simultaneously natural, social, and symbolic. They circulate in networks where matter and meaning cannot be disentangled.” - Bruno Latour, We Have Never Been Modern (1991).
