Simone Klein, often known as Simo, was born in Providence, RI, and lives in Brooklyn, NY. Simo makes sculptures and performances, primarily as a poet. She is interested in spiritual mechanisms, improvisation, and bodywork.
This book is a compilation of cyanotype prints and somatic invitations working from the language of light.
The images come from contemporary dance technique courses with Shura Baryshnikov and center a method of poetic queuing used in dance research to locate new kinesthetic textures.
The work is interested in translations between body, light, and language.
